We recently wrapped some work on two productions for Slalom Productions, providing colour grading on both and equipment rentals for one. We’ve worked with Slalom on several productions over the years, sometimes providing post-production services, sometimes equipment, and sometimes a combination of both.
It got us thinking about something we probably don’t talk about very often: the relationships that keep coming back around. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to build relationships with production companies, broadcasters and organizations that continue to come back with new projects.
So, what does it take?
There’s no big secret to a long-standing working relationship. There’s nothing particularly flashy about it. Do good work. Be reliable. Know your stuff. Make things easier where you can. It also means being able to adapt. Not every production looks the same, and neither does our role in it.
New clients are always exciting.
But there’s something pretty great about the ones who keep coming back.
